ARTIST: thora2.
Thora Solveig Bergsteinsdottir (Iceland)
STATEMENT: I make videos, installations and performances that involve physical embodyment of interior images.
The underlying theme of my work is movement and a state of being. I focus on a situation and explore the moment in between and being in the moment.
My work is an investigation of physical presence and relations to the natural environment. Ever since growing up in the north of Iceland, nature and her elements have been a strong influence on me.
I have always been in close contact with nature and that relationship is the essence of my work as an artist.
